IFC has provided countless truckloads of emergency food rations to the needy displaced families and for those living in resettlement sites. There has been real concern over the problems of malnutrition. We know that lives were saved because of the truck loads of food provided for the hungry.
IFC is now providing food to Leper and T.B. infected families. We feed the entire family to build their general health of the entire family. The Lepers and T.B. patients are given regular treatment to help them recover from their illness.
Other food projects involve the supply seed and expert agricultural education. IFC has supplied some farm tools and fishing equipment for needy families. The cost to feed a family of five is approximately one U.S. dollar a day.
