ALONE NO MORE

Jon is his name. He is 12 months old and just arrived at our base. He has a sad short life. His mother died after his birth. His father does not want him and he was given to a foster mom, who also did not want him. He was brought to our base and was put in our hospital. He is a year old and weighs only nine pound. In the last two days he fought for his life. According to Peter Scarborough he is doing better and has a chance to live. He will be loved and nurtured to health and placed in the Children’s Home. There is no assurance he will continue to improve but he is in great hands. He joins several other infants who have come to our base with serious malnutrition, disease or illness. Jon’s story illustrates the work of the leaders and staff at the base in Indonesia. First and foremost—it is a place of rescues. The medical staff and facilities are there to provide care and emergency medical intervention. Jon is just one of the thousands who come to receive medical help. Jon will grow up in our Children’s Home. He will be loved and safe. It is a sad story but Jon is now in a good place. He will be educated and wanted.
