Yulens

She was a beautiful young mother. Her home was filled with laughter and the daily chores of any Indonesian family in this region. Yulens and her husband, Bogor, were working hard and making ends meet. Bogor was a farmer and toiled with the land to provide for his wife and child.

Then the tragic kerosene spill happened on the 22nd of February 2008. She was burned over her chest and face. Yulens ran outside her home while still on fire. She screamed and a neighbor doused the fire out with a bucket of water. She went from a young mother to someone who is struggling for her life. She went to the IFC Clinic for help. They have been caring for her and keeping her burns clean and treating the infection. We do not have the expertise or the equipment to do skin grafts and the tight fitting garments needed to prevent the scaring contractures. She needs expert care to help with the scares and disfiguring.

We are seeking help for Yulens in Alaska. If this door opens then we will transport her all the way to Alaska. She will need to be strong and able to adjust to all the changes. Just to come from the tropics to a artic winter is a huge adjustment. She has her whole life ahead of her and just needs to get past this injury and live a normal life as a mother and wife.
